Mercedes-Benz Recall Information

When you roll out of Mercedes-Benz of Raleigh in a new or pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle, we are here to look out for you. We care about the safety of our customers, so we think it's important that you know how to stay informed of any Mercedes-Benz U.S. recall campaigns that could affect your vehicle. Recalls occur when Mercedes-Benz vehicles develop an unforeseen and unexpected fault and often require immediate repair or replacement by certified technicians.

Use Your 17-Digit U.S. VIN for Mercedes-Benz Recall Checks

The official Mercedes-Benz website has a recall lookup resource that is able to look up potential recalls for your vehicle model. Simply enter your 17-digit U.S.-based Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see the most complete and up-to-date information on current or previous recalls. If you have trouble, give us a call, and we can assist you in finding your VIN and identifying potential recalls. This online tool will not work for non-U.S. VINs.

Where Do I Find My VIN?

There are several places you can locate your VIN:

  • Printed on your vehicle's windshield, situated at the lower driver-side corner
  • Low on the driver's side doorjamb
  • Listed inside your vehicle's registration and title documentation

If you discover that your vehicle is included in a current or past Mercedes-Benz U.S. recall campaign, bring it to Mercedes-Benz of Raleigh Service Center to have the necessary repairs carried out by a factory-trained technician. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) mandates that dealerships must not impose any fees for recall services, so servicing these repairs and replacements are at no cost to you.
